How Can Anything Exist?
Munir Peter Reynolds

We plumb with our instruments
Smashing particles, peering further into space
Hoping to get a glimpse
Before the Big Bang
How can anything exist?

Inventing infinite random universes
To account for the discontinuity
In our observations
And the mysterious behavior of
Wholeness.
How can anything exist?

Ignoring the exquisite table laid,
Fine-tuned for us to be here,
An island of negative entropy
In a vast sea of potential,
Thwarting our logic.
How can anything exist?

And ignoring the observer
Laced into the observation,
The eye that sees all, finding intimacy with everything,
Confounding our ardent belief
In randomness and meaninglessness.
How can anything exist?

Prior to mind, the
Timeless,
Silent
Source
Revealed again
Always existing…

We have been exploring our own
Self.
